I always felt bad about bringing Noah down stairs to his cage because I was tired. So I got him a cage for my room so I can be with him during those few hours I sleep. He has free roam of my room so this also gives him a place to drink and go to the bathroom.
I know it meets the need for its current use but In the future I think I might use it to house another rat during quarantine. Is it big enough for that? According to this it can hold 2 rats.
Heres a link for product info on the cage I got. click

It is definitely big enough for a future quarentine cage for a rat.

I like the cage, actually. It is really nice that he gets free range and that size of a cage is just to drink, eat, potty in, and make take a little nappy in the hammock, hehe.

The size of the cage looks good and it should do fine as a guarentine cage. The bar spacing might be a bit big for a baby rats or female rats. But I can take it your getting another male rat.

30"W X 18"D X 16"H

If I use it for a smaller rat then I would put hardware wire around it.
