I bought one of those Ferret/Piggie Harness's today and It is to big on them both. But there not done gowing so I might Keep it. I dunno yet.

I TOTALLY FORGOT! I didnt even look at the Rats! I went in to get Bird Food and I walked Right passed! Ah Man! I cant believe that!

O'well its most likely best not too....lol

My ratties slip out of their harness too. A lady on another forum makes some, I may snag one from her to see if they work any better.

i got fiona one of those. it was a disaster she hated it. she did something where her skin like went over her head if she scrunched down so i couldnt put it on her. It was pretty disturbing looking, she went from a rat to like a miscolored penis looking thing.

I got one that fits gizmo just right at Petsmart,and hes pretty small.Adjustable too so im very pleased.Maybe you should try there.

But tht doesnt mean he will be pleased to where it....o'well..lol..

I got the smallest sized Super Pet harness, and it fit Rokk really well. He didn't like it, of course! It would be too big for any of my girls though.

i bought a harness and a leash.... and my rattie would just stand there and look at me like "i have free roam usually, why do you put this horrible thing on me?" it was cute, and as we tried to get her used to it she hated it more and more adn looked so sad and angry... then one day we let her run around with just the harness and she slipped it off and hid it...we still can't find it...she must have hated that little harness so much....

I tried to use a harness with previous rats, but I don't even bother trying with Betty. I've got enough dogs to walk and I know she wouldn't like (or fit) it. Though I could imagine one could train them (and with males it would be most rewarding as they're a bit bigger), if they knew they got to go someplace special with the harness on.

they dont sell any small enough for females or young rats and the ones u can buy are hard and scratch the rats alot of the time. Im thinking using some cheap comfortable cloth i could make one for around 3 us dollars and Just make new ones when the old ones are ruined. This way you could traing rats from the time they are weaned till the time they are adults. So they will learn to like harnesses. If u think its good plan let me kno !!!! thanks -Josh
