My rat, Emil, is ruby-eyed, and he's constantly swinging his head side to side. I believe it's because of his poor vision, but i've been told by several persons that have rats where i live, that's most probably a sign of agression.

Emil is constantly swinging his head, also in non-threatening situations.

What do you think? I didn't even knew that rats bob their heads when they're acting agressive!

Head-bobbing is a sign of poor vision or health problems, not a sign of aggression.
