Hello, my Rat is with a head tilt and often loses equilibrium .. I took to the vet, he made enrofloxacin and dewormer Panacur (for parasites that could have attacked the central nervous system).
but there was no improvement when stopped with Panacur, worsened
she did not want to eat the food, lose weight. is being fed with baby food.
sometime time is fine, playing and eating enough baby food. suddenly gets out of balance, sometimes rolls, is down
sorry my bad engglish, i'm brazilian, I speak portuguese and i'm using google translation!
what can it be? what can I do?

Neera began having similar symptoms. I wouldn't have thought parasites were the problem... From my research when Neera began having a head tilt the two biggest illnesses to cause it were tumors or an ear infection. Neera had an ear infection and when it got worse, she started rolling as well. She never did have any of the other symptoms for ear infection but the loss of balance, head tilt, and rolling are all symptoms of one. They prescribed Neera Baytril and she much, much better within a week.
