Use an antiseptic or diluted alcohol to clean the wound, keep him away from the other boys, and don't stress him out. Keep him in a single level enclosure, so that he doesn't jump and make it worse. If you have a small single level cage that's the best. Use a cloth bedding for him, an old towel or t-shirt, shavings and small bits will get into the cut.

Keep an eye on him until you can get him to the vet.

He's doing fine now, he was trying to play with me this morning. It seems like its not open anymore. I'm not used to seeing wounds like that, even thevboys at my work don't do that to one another, and they're always fighting for dom. lol, i guess i over reacted... but he is my little man so i was shocked when those boys did that to him. And today the hammocks i ordered from ebay came, so he got one in his one level and is just adoring being a lazy bum, until he sees me walking by and scurries over to the door and want to play. *snuggles* he's such a sweetheart.

whenever my boys get cuts i clean it out with bactine after the bleeding stops then i use the neosporin creamy stuff with pain relief it is non toxic so you don't have to worry about them licking it though you want them to leave it alone for a bit. my guys beat each other up all the time there are always scratches and what not LoL

yea, Louie's cage mates were a bit much for my peace loving boy, i found them new homes and there's babes waiting to go in with him in about a week or so! The boys were much older and BIGGER! Louie healed nicely and is enjoying his "quiet time" he's much less skittish and more lovey!
