my roobs has lil scabby limps under his chin mom thought it was fleas but its not and toby has a cut on his side i dont no what to do shuld i wait n c if it gets better or get them 2 the vets? the rats arent in any pain im confuzed and worryed about my babies! please help

I had this problem it could simply just be that your rat is having too much protein and the side affect is skin irritation which then leads onto scabs and cuts.If it is this then try changing the food you give him and before buying it check it is rat food and that it doesnt have that much protein in it. However if the problem doesnt desist after doing this i think that is when you should consult your vet!

be careful with shampoos fallin make sure you get all of the shampoo off I have it to and I rinse for like ten minutes they are such groomers that if there is any residue left they will ingest it and then you have a sick rat on your hands.

my moms been checkin them over also this shampoo i got from the vets and he says its not 2 harmful to animals, my vet is norm right but still i do get all the shampoo out, roobs meds worked a treat he is nearly all better and the shampoo is amazin!

yeah thats what i thought but i triple checked with the vet cuz my boys are clean freaks and i have 2 leave the shampoo on for 10 mins he sed 2 try 2 stop them grooming in those 10mins which is a task in its self but he sed also after they are rinsed its even less harmful if any was left on, but i keep checking and theres no shampoo left on them :D but bloody ell the shampoo is only a lil bottol and cost over £10!! lol its madness
