I am looking to buy 2 rats and just have a few questions any help would be greatly appreciated!
Whats the best thing to line cages and bed rats down with?
Is it best to provide a litter tray and litter train rats?
Any good rat breeders Mansfield/Worksop or surrounding areas?

Hi Alicefox. Welcome.
Personally, we use Breeder Celect (not a typo, it is spelt that way) litter for the bottom of the cage, and they have lots of fleece hammocks as well. We also attach little plastic baskets to the cage and put a bit of fleece in there for them to snuggle. Sputniks are brilliant for rat beds (do you have Sputnik rat pods in UK?) and we even put a bit of fleece inside them lately as we are coming into winter.
Toilet training can work really well, but some rats just aren't into it. We find that our girls are very good with using a litter tray, but the boys will just wee wherever they happen to be. They aren't really interested in litter training.
