Hey all!
My name is Shoko, I'm 19 and I recently upgraded from hamsters to rats. I've kept small animals since I was in the 3rd or 4th grade, so I like to think I know what I'm doing, but I probably don't.
Those little buggers can always surprise you. I also keep a couple little fish tanks, and although my parents keep the dogs at home (I go to school 50 miles away), I like to think they're still mine too.
I recently bought my first rat, and after lots of research, I settled on a female dumbo hairless. I've heard they don't live as long, but they're just as adorable as any and I'm prepared to give her the best life possible. Her name is Picasso and she's still rather fuzzy almost everywhere, so we'll see how that goes.
Just thought I'd say hello and I hope that you guys can answer some questions of mine that I might have, and that I can prove to be just as useful to some of you guys as well. !
