Hi everyone, my names Eve and 2 days ago I adopted a beautiful female rat I have named Sushi, she is grey with a small white spot on her head (haven't figured out how to post pictures using my iPad yet) I am brand new at owning rats but am already in love with her gentle and inquisitive nature. she is still a little unsure when getting her out of her cage but once out she's very affectionate, loves to lick my fingers and crawl up onto my shoulder. So glad to find this place as I am sure I will have plenty of questions!

Nice to meet you and I'm glad you've discovered rats as pets!! If you haven't already, Sushi needs a companion! Rats are such social creatures, and can become very sad and unhealthy when kept alone. I promise taking care of two rats isn't any harder than taking care of one (In a way it's actually easier!).
