Hi there, I've lurked for a little while and decided to join (so at least I shall lurk as a member). I'm 16 and have had rats since I was 12, though not one after another. My current rat is Betty, a hairless girl who's a few months old. After loosing my house rabbit recently to an unknown illness I've decided to learn more about rats in hopes that Betty can make it past the dreaded one year mark (which is about as long as I've read hairless typically live ).

Unfortunatly Betty is an only rat at this time. But she's out with me almost all the time so I don't think she minds it much.
