The shop did not have ages, only sizes. They sometimes have rats for sale as pets but they mostly have snake feeders. A few of my past rats have come from this shop who were also supposed to be snake food, and they were great pets.
The owner only stated that "They" usually send them male rats. I am 5'2", I believe my hands are average for a full grown woman, and this baby, Kane (kah-nay), is the length of my hand, from wrist to finger tips, excluding their tail.
I have had both males and females before.
I even had a young baby I was told straightforward was a boy, turn out to really be a girl lol. Max became Maxine.
Kane does not show any signs of being a boy, but I do not know when is the age where they are not yet developed and the age where they should be showing something and if they are not, it's a girl lol.
Kane's feet and ears are still a little big on em.
Kane is pretty calm and cuddly, a lot more than any females i've ever seen and the shop said they usually get sent males.. this is mainly why I dont just want to assume things.
