Hello, new to the site. I'm a newer rat owner also, I've only had pet rats for the past year or so. It didn't take long for a young rat to win me over and show me how cool pet rats can be. Now I'm completely sold on them. I have to be careful when going to the pet store, each time I see a cute baby rat I start thinking "I'm sure I have room for another rat in one of my cages!" Before I know it I end up with tons of rats!
Some are wonderful, some have been really hard to tame. No bites yet luckily, but sadly we have lost a few rats to illness. Overall it's pretty fun raising rats. I've got tons of animals but rats are winning as my favorite suddenly.
