My little Eugeneo Beano freaks me out everytime he hiccups because he also squeaks when he does. I know rat hiccups are supposed to be silent because they are pretty quiet creatures, but Eugene is a pretty squeaky guy. That's just his personality, along with being overly dramatic, and an overly excessive needy snuggle bug. He's always been pretty squeaky. So I'm not sure if it is a sign of an respiratory injection because he literally had no other symptoms. He's an extremely healthy rat, very active, and happy. I also think it might just be him being happy because I have ONLY ever seen him hiccup and squeak when he's snuggling with me, but I just want all of your guy's opinions. Currently he is sleeping happily with his brother, Dubs, on a nice recliner with a fuzzy blanket right next to me. I think that's all I needed to say, please tell me what you all think! Should I be worried?
