Does anyone else have a home made cage? I made one recently and it's been working out fantastic. I got the idea from dapper.com.au . If you go to the "grotto" link at the top. I'm proud to say that mine is about half the size of that. Anyways, how are anyone's experiences with home made cages?

mine turned out pretty well. took a weekend to build, and about $50. a good alternative forking out the cash for a brand new huge cage. i have a good 10cubic feet made from a wood frame and 1/2" wire.

i think that maybe in another year or so i will upgrade to a more expensive cage, store-bought of course.

Or make a grotto. that would be fine as well.

I've made two a 5 story and a three story and I love them both!! easy to clean and the rats seem to love it! Plus my three story can hold 9 rats!! (only 2 in there at the moment) so hehe I love all the room they give .
