Hi all,so yesterday i had to put milky to sleep and her sister cream is now refusing to eat and just sulks at the side of the cage. She seems so depressed,i was always closer to milky then cream. Cream wont let me touch her,she has always been very scared of me even tho iv had her over 2 years. I really wanna start bonding more with her because i know shes gonna be very lonely now that milky has gone. Does anyone know how i can cheer her up? How can i pick her up without her getting annoyed? :?

Take her out of the cage and let her do things she normally doesn't get to do. Put toys on your bed or your couch, bags with rustly paper are fun, special food treats are a good idea. You don't have to cuddle her just distract her if you can.

Rats often grieve after the loss of a cagemate. Are you thinking of getting her a friend?

Id love to get her a new friend but i might be moving to canada in the next year or so so i didnt want to get any new pets until i move over there. Thanx for the ideas
