How do you avoid it?!

Oh goodness, I dont know but I have rat fever!
It seems now that every rat I see for adoption or sale or to good home or cant keep needs a good home I want to prance at! Its so addicting, those ears and those eyes and that nose, in the picture, its just so tempting!
Some people on here said they have 15 or more rats! That must be intense!

I recently built a cage, as some may know its in the cage forum posts, ect. It can only really hold 4 but it has three but I don't want 4 in it. It makes me want to go out and build or buy another cage and adopt more!

Sadly, most the time its some males, but Ide want them to be together so that means neutering and I don't really believe in that unless its necessary so I really only want to keep females at a time, I rarely like males at all, they intimidated me sometimes. But even when I see a female, a Fawn or a Blue, DUMBO! Its just SOOO TEMPTING! My mother would murder me if I got more, I have the money and the time its just, I must restrain I only told myself three.

How do you all do it?!

yeah right I've already decided that when I get a house my rats will have their own room (i can dream if i want to okay?) and I think I have rat fever to, all of my time that I spend online is on this forum and researching rats in need of adoption, there are SOOOOO many! I have 3 comming next week

its impossible to save them all, but its always nice to do what you can. For every rat adopted, there are 18 more born and in need of homes lol, its a never ending cycle.

Ok, once school starts and settles in and I get a new job, after I quiet the one I have, Im only 18 people, so yeah, lol, I job hunt for part times, not important, I think Ill try and make another cage, this time, preferably cheaper, maybe all mesh and stuff.. [plots]

I'm only 18 to lol, luckily for me I have a boyfriend who loves rats to.
A black hooded dumbo female about 1 year old, a grey self dumbo female she'll be 4 weeks old ish shes the baby of the black hooded, and either a beige hooded or a beige self dumbo female, I haven't gotten any word back on whether the beige hooded is a female as it is my first choice. But I'm really REALLY anxious. I made my boyfriend a deal that he could get a dirt bike if I was allowed a total of 6 rats, since my grotto style cage fits 8 according to the rat calculator (although i wouldn't put anymore than 6 in it, and 6 is plenty

I really want to start a rescue for them but I know that I would hardly ever rehome them because there are very few people in my area willing to properly take care of a rat. So maybe I'll foster a few from the SPCA or something, I would adore to foster a pregnant momma for them and watch the babies grow

Thats why I'm interested in fostering, because you can fall in love with the rat knowing that theres a possibility you can't keep it, yet it will still go to a good home, but if you fall WAY head over heals, you can always adopt it yourself. Kimmiekins you guys deserve a lot more credit than you're given, because I'm sure having rescues volunteering and such is a lot harder than it seems.

hahaha!!! my rats already have their own room!!!! hahaha!!!

Mine get to free roam the bathroom...

which is practically smaller than their cage... but does that count?
