If my rats have mites can we get them ? If I wear a T-shirt and play with a rat, then put the T-shirt in my drawer will all the other tshirts have eggs or mites etc?

I'm not sure, but I would err on the side of caution and not do anything that might cross-contaminate.

In general, I believe. Mites don't have dormancy stages, so if you expose something to mites and isolate it for longer than the lifespan of a mite, then it no longer has mites... No food.

The lifespan of a mite is 6 weeks. But they can't live on humans for more than a few hours. Unless you have tropical rat mites, which can live on humans. At least, that's what I understand from what I've read. :/

I've tried to research it but I can't find anything. Do you have any sources ?
