For a single critter nation, I would say 4 if you space it correctly!

Yes, for a single CN, 4 would be max. I have a double CN with 6 and added another to make a triple CN!!! I'll be keeping 8 in the triple.

Yep, four or five for a single. Five if they are smallish and get along well, and provide lots of hammocks and get-away space.
