While my rats were having floor time yesterday afternoon, one of them, Harriet, got behind the water tank, which is fixed to the floor and wall and is immobile, and I cannot get her to come out. I heard her yesterday chewing the paper from the insulation, but this morning I do not hear her. I'm worried as to her well being, not only because she's back there, but also because I have to go out of the house today and we have a cat. The cat has never tried to hurt any of the rats before, but there is a first time for everything, right? So any suggestions on how to get her to come out? Moving the hot water tank is not an option!

put some of her favourite treats out. eventually she will get hungry and go looking for food and water. and before you go out, put the cat into a room that harriet couldnt possibly be in... just to be safe...
