i put my rats in the bathtub for awhile they groomed eachother a bit followed eachother for awhile. Other than that they ignore eachother. They have seperate cages because i am afraid they will fight. Please help me. Also should i get a new cage for them once they know eachother for awhile? Before i forget how long should i let them out together until letting them move in together?

Kepp giving them playtime outside of their cages with eachother. If you go a couple of night of playtime without anyone drawing blood or puffing up then you can try putting them in a cage together. How big are the cages they are in now?

If your current cages are big enough, put the rats somewhere safe and THOROUGHLY clean out the cage. You should also redecorate sot hat it's not familiar.

Dotty and Roxy live together and they very rarely interact with each other when they're both out - apart from when one's on heat and they try to hump each other

I'd love to see them playing together.
