So I was playing with Juniper a few minutes ago and out of nowhere he bit me and now he keeps biting me. I have created other posts like this and I tried reintroducing the days like someone told me to do but that didn’t help. And now he is biting me and fighting me?? I am going to call the vets and try to get him neutered, i can’t think of anything else I can do. Side note, I bonded with him when I got him and he loved me and snuggled me and crawled on me so I don’t know what else it could be, please help!

My finger was bleeding where he bit me but I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and antibacterial stuff besides i’m so terrified of getting rat bite fever.

Their bites sure do hurt and bleed, the little buggers. Unfortunately the biting is most likely hormonal, because they don't just start biting and being aggressive for no reason. Especially our little ones who loved and trusted us for so long :(

When my Fellowship boys got adopted at 4 months, they were so sweet and active and proper gentlemen, and I was so proud of them. Then Gilly bit his new owner, and literally the next day another Pippi did the same thing, so we knew it was time to get them neutered. Now they are back to being proper gentlemen :giggle:

Thank you so much for your reply. I will call the vets and get him neutered. Freddy has been being aggressive to Alfredo as well, but he has never purposely bit me. Do i need to neuter him too?? He is almost 2 years old though

I personally would just keep an eye on him. 2 is quite a risky age for a neuter, but if you feel confident in your vet and they are comfortable doing it, it might help him for the better.

I agree, if Freddy is almost two and is not being aggressive to you, I would not put him through the surgery. It's very hard on the older boys, and more chance for complications.

That probably depends on the level of aggression, especially since he's older, that may just be his dynamic with alfredo- but if the behavior is new or over the top, maybe juniper's hormonal aggression has him acting out a bit. Probably good to just get juniper neutered at first and see how that affects things!

Alright, thank you. I’m just sort of worried because Alfredo has a head tilt and jt is hard for him to get around and he was on meds but they weren’t making a difference but he doesn’t look sad so yes i’ve considered putting him down but i can’t. So freddy and alfredo are in a hospital cage together.
