since my older rat has a bad case of Myco and I have asked in another thread about giving the others Batril we decided in that thread best to not give Batril unless I see signs of Myco spreading to one of the younger rats.

Well.. watching them close I noted one does a lot of sneezing BUT has a total clean nose and face and is very active.

If the sneezing a indicator? could that be a sign of it spreading and he is getting sick?

I guess my main question is what ARE the first signs of myco spreading to one of the younger guys?

Thanks

Myco doesn't spread.

The younger rats already have myco.

What you need to watch for is their resistence to their infection breaking down. Sneezing can be a sign, with discharge, poofy fur, labored breathing, odd sounds while breathing, lethargy, lack of interest in food/water, etc. Sneezes don't have to be from an illness. If he's sneezing a lot it could be, but it could also be due to a smell that's irritating him, dust in the air, a new smell, etc.

Watch him, certainly, but definitely take a deep breath. :)
