If a rat has a pituitary tumor, are their siblings more likely to get it? I've got no clue how old they are but I'm guessing older than a year for sure. Asahi has late stage pituitary tumor and now her sister, Ichiban, is showing some signs of it as well. We were at the vets last Monday for Ichiban's UTI (which is finally gone) and she's been on Baytril for three weeks now. Ichiban, just like Asahi, shakes her head very frequently. She looks down when picked up Maybe I'm imagining things, but she also seems not to be using her left hand as much? If she does have one, could it be something in the environment?
They are both double rexes with white fur.
Asahi is black eyed. She can't use her hands or eat on her own at all anymore and will likely be out to sleep next week. 😞
Ichiban is an albino. The backyard breeder gave her up to me three months after Asahi. They are both very similar in personality but also unique in their own ways. Ichiban is much larger and I think she's had babies before as her nipples are bigger.
