I am Amy and I am months away from being 19 years old. I have a wonderful fiance.
I also have two male rats that go by the name of...Leonidas AND Spartan. Can you tell I love the movie, 300  ?
I also have FOUR house bunnies. Mallory is a 1 year old neutered Harlequin/Rex/Dutch mix and Madilyn-Mae is a 10 month old spayed Lionhead, they are a bonded pair
. Morgan is a neutered 1 year old Harlequin/Rex/Dutch mix and is a brother to Mallory. Lastly...Marlin is a 5 month old Lionhead. Marlin will be neutered in a month, then we will begin bonding him and Morgan together. We hope to have all 4 bunnies bonded, eventually!
That is the end of my zoo. In the future we hope to have a chocolate Newfoundland and I would love a Bearded Dragon.
I just got back into rattie ownership because I now have the time, the money (yay, for a REAL job!), and we found out my fiance is NOT allergic to rats after all
....which is why I had to rehome my rats earlier this year (I even tried to get them back before getting my male!). They are doing wonderful in their home with a few other ratties that were added to their clan
.
I got my boys from our local mom & pop pet store (keep reading!). I always thought they they bred their own rats, but I recently found out that they take in rats when people in the area have had accidental litters. I am in close relations with our local pet store (I go there for my Oxbow bunny feed), and they let me walk out of there with two free boy ratties after telling them the story about my past rescue rat and how much I missed her, since it has almost been a year since I had to have her euthanized.
My boys visited the vet two days after I brought them home and they are as healthy as a whistle (knock on wood they stay like that). I haven't heard a sneeze out of them since I brought them home two weeks ago!
Pictures can be posted once I find my photoshop to install on my computer tonight

I am about to leave a thread in the "Cage" section asking about a certain cage that I show interest in 8) .
