Hmmm. My girls do exploratory nips on me from time to time. Did they break the skin? At this point since it just started, it may just as quickly pass on its own.
Is this what puberty is like?!?!
I don't know what the heck has gotten into these three, but Beemo, Finn and Jake are driving me batty. They've started biting. Tonight! I'm sitting on the couch with the three of them and they're running around and Finn is on my knee and he bit me through my jeans. He startled me badly enough that I yelped and jumped, which scared the (literal) crap out of him and sent the three of them running. Then Jake starts pulling at the seam of my jeans and Beemo bites my elbow through my shirt. I haven't changed anything - detergent/shampoo/diet or anything. What the heck brought this on? Is this being "teenagers"? They're about 5-6 months old now.

No skin breaking, but hard enough to hurt. There have been the sort of teeth scraping nips prior to this, but nothing that caused actual pain. I'd always respond with an "OW" and they'd stop, but this is definitely a new behavior for them
I haven't experienced rat puberty yet... And I have 8 boys... Dun dun DUNNN!!!
I say, no blood = no foul. You can always give them a stern NO! And a light boop on the nose.
My guys nip from time to time but it's just them being curious or if my hands taste like food/they want to play fight. *Cheeseburger-Watson* LOVES to playfight with me, it's so funny.

Haha I'll play fight with Finn - He's the only one who will wrestle with me. The others are more like "No seriously, why are you trying to touch my tummy."
The girls are all "You have to catch me first hahahahahaha*gone*"
My two hairless... They're just boogers. And pee monsters. They're sorta rescues though, gotten when they were significantly older than all the rest, so they're still working on learning that humans do more than feed and let them run around and occasionally rub them down with weird smelling stuff (coconut oil - boy do they get dry sometimes!). Although Prismo is getting to a point where he'll forget himself and sometimes play with me, before he remembers that he doesn't like me *that* much and runs away again.

Hahaha, that's super cute. xD Cornelius will chase my hand sometimes, I think it's very cute.
Cheeseburger is the most willing to play fight with me. He's such a derp, I love it.
Bear Ninja and Gandalf think they're too cool for school to play with me.. and Spaghetti, he's so timid. But surprisingly he lets me flip him over and give him belly rubs. ^_^
I love it. Especially when they think they're too cool. Then it's all about catching them and snuggling them and going I WILL LOVE YOU WHETHER OR NOT YOU LIKE IT until they give in and let it happen for all of the five seconds it takes >.<
