Anything marketed for small animals is less dusty in my experience. I use stuff for horses from a tractor supply and that stuff is DUSTY, but if I use something like the PetSmart Brand it doesn't seem as dusty.

But kiln-dried pine is AMAZING, smells good but not strong, absorbs urine and ammonia well and you don't have to change it so often!

Looking for feedback if anyone has tried this product for their rats? Dusty? Better than paper bedding?
Although it's great that it's kiln dried, I would really highly recommend finding a bedding that isn't pine or cedar! There's a lot of evidence to suggest both types of bedding can be very harmful to rats. Even though a lot of pine/cedar bedding is dust extracted, kiln dried, and doesn't have a strong smell, the natural chemicals in the woods are basically pest repellents, and will have a negative effect on your rats and most other small rodents and probably cause some respiratory issues in the future. So I would suggest something like aspen bedding! It's a great, safe alternative and has a similar smell to pine and cedar. It's usually not much more expensive either :)
