If you order direct from them, and pick it up at one of their locations or have it shipped from HT, you must have a $100 minimum order. They're not set up for small orders (which is what most rat owners would need, unless you're feeding a lot of rats).

However, you can order it at a few places online.

Lab DIet is horrid for rats I knew someone who used that and I looked up the info and it was the most disgusting ingredients in the world the third or fourth down was chicken by products, animal fat, and something else that was terrifying. The protien percent is also sky high.

Lab Diet come in a very wide variety of formulas. Each formula is designed what research/animals need it for.

Here is the link to all their rat and mouse diets. I didn't see what you were talking about Stephanie.
Harlen Teklad and Purina brands are the best staple rodent diets. They are huge competitors. The largest/best research company in the World uses Lab Diet products.

I'm with Stephanie. The Lab Diet rat formula is not the best. What's absurd is that they include alfalfa, which has no nutritional value for rats, not to mention they don't digest it well. Why on earth would they include it? Some of it's not so bad, but it certainly isn't the best lab block out there. Just the fact that it has alfalfa in it is enough for me to steer clear.
