Did I spell that correctly?

Anyway, I've been told that one may get leptospirosis from rat urine. Something to do with open wounds/pores.

Has there been any rat owner infected with this(by their rat pets)?

I belive it is very rare for lepto to infect pet rats but It is common in wild rats, it not somehting a worry about cus the risks are so small.

You have domestic rats that don't play outside in puddles/ponds that could have wild animals infected urine in it. I wouldn't worry about it.
