Moving across country

Sooo, turns out that I will most likely be moving from sunny California to Michigan in 5 months. I've been doing some reading as far as how to move them, but I was wondering if there was any... laws(?) or legal issues with moving them across state borders? I know for dogs and cats you need to have their proof of vaccination and such, and was wondering if there had to be any kind of paperwork or something for the ratties as well.

It'll be fun driving across the country with 6 rats and a cat in the back of the car (in their own carries of course). Thankfully the cat has little interest in the rats.

Any tips from people who have done a long move with rats?
