Labor Day weekend, I'm going to be adding two 5 week old girls to my rattie family
Although it'll be a couple weeks until they come home, yesterday I set up my small Coast Cage for them to live in during quarantine/intro period. I am quite surprised with how much I like this cage now, and I think it'll be really nice for two little girls! I wanted to share since I remember someone asking about this particular cage.
One of the things I always hated (other than the wheel), was the lack of room on the bottom. So I took off the lower ramp and turned it into a mini-level. I made the level covers out of an old cotton robe, and used it and some fabric scraps to make a little pillow to go in the tissue box. They'll probably end up pulling the pillow out and tossing it aside, but the chance that they might like sleeping on it makes it worth it!
It's very girly and pink, and I love it!
For some cuteness, here are my girls, at 3 weeks old a few days ago:
This girl was "supposed" to be blue, since I claimed a blue girl the day after they were born, but now that she's furry she looks black to me. I asked, but haven't gotten a response yet. Apparently, she won't sit still for a picture
I named her Ayame ^_^
I didn't decide to adopt this one until I saw a picture of her with Ayame, before any of them had hair, and I fell in love with her zigzag stripe! I haven't thought of a name for her yet, but isn't she adorable?
