My rat Huey is just over a year and a half old and in the past couple of months he’s developed a habit after he’s had a long session of drinking. He’ll start to regurgitate some of the water he just drank, pull at his tongue, shaking the water on his paws before finally carrying on with his normal grooming routine. This can last anywhere between 1 minute to 10 and he doesn’t seem to be struggling when doing it and doesn’t seem to be in distress as if he was choking. He’s always been a bit of an odd character so I don’t know if it’s some OCD type behaviour he’s developed. But if anyone has any similar experiences it would be much appreciated to hear from you. Thanks :)

That's incredibly strange never have I seen or even heard of that!! As long it doesn't hurt him it shouldn't be a problem though.
yes it certainly left us confused the first couple of times he did it! but he’s perfectly normal otherwise which is why i’m asking about now as curiosity has finally got the better of me 😅😂
