tomatos
black/green olives
banannas/red apples
romain letuce
cylantro(?)
whole wheat bread
cheese
lunch meat
occasional left over green beans or peas or whatever I ate for dinner but didn't finish.
(dog food + rodent blocks in an open dish)

I usually feed them twice a day with a random assortment of anything on that list. And they will not eat ham but they LOVE turkey, it's the one food they will stay in my hand and eat :)

Does that sound atleast somewhat balanced. My rats aren't fat so im a little concerned.

As long as the rest of the stuff is in moderation, it's fine... making sure they're eating their staple food and all.

Personally I don't really trust lunchmeat, but that's just me.

Id watch the lunch meat, a lot of it is heavily processed with a lot of salt and nasty stuff, if they love meat (like my boys :D) try some boiled/microwaved chicken breast

The rat blocks are excellent for a staple diet, then give them their veggies as a supplement.

But lunchmeat is absolute crap for all living beings.
