My rats squeak particularly loud when fighting with each-other! Its always one bullying the other and it is very loud when he squeaks? They are both fairly young boys,is this sort of behaviour ok?

Yes it is normal to get a lot of squeaking when fighting.Rats enjoy a good fight and there is often an agenda of dominance involved but there are rules.There is usually no biting but they may fur pull and mouth each other a bit like dogs do.Also the winning rat may power groom the other,this is often when loud squeaking is heard.If youl look closely,sometimes the squeaker isn’t even being touched,some rats love to be dramatic.If a fight was serious they would rat ball, a furious whirlwind with horrendous shrieking but even this can only last a few seconds and doesnt mean to say they will bite.
