My rat tazo has never bitten me before, but a couple of months ago he randomly started to. he is a single rat (I have another male but they hate eachother, when i tried putting them together, tazo didn't trust me or anyone for a long time) his bits never break te skin but sometimes they leave a mark. advice?

Is Tazo acting extremely differently? Fur puffed up, maybe rubbing on things, or digging with his front paws? A year old could be the onset of hormonal aggression which sometimes can be worked through and sometimes you need to neuter to get your nice rat back.

Other things can be if he's unwell or in pain, rats have bitten because of that.

I concur... Hormonal aggression at 1 year is quite common! Also pain can be a sign, but if it's not got any worse it could be more likely to be hormonal.

Either way it might be a good idea to visit the vet to see what they think.
