hi im looking for a cage ive been to my local pet store and they havent got any.so ive got two 5 week old females in a hamster cage..i know its not good at present but does anyone know of what i do need?
ive only got a small space to put it in so it cant be huge!

Martin cages aren't crap if they're powdercoated. When they're not they absorb urine and it's impossible to get the smell out. From what I've heard of them, they're very nice cages if you do your research and order the right one for yourself.

I've had a Martin's R-695 almost 3 years now, and used it as my main cage for 2 years. It's stilll the cage I use when I take my rats to my parents' place. I still love it, and it's held up suprisingly well. PErhaps you had a Martin's that wasn't powdercoated? Powdercoating makes all the difference in the world. Galvanized (silver) cages absorb the urine and can be ruined in a matter of months.

If you're dead set against the Martin's cages though, there's a new Superpet cage out for rats that alot of people love.
