Hello, I am new here. I have had one rat prior to my new boy but I have kept several rodents including guinea pigs, hamsters and mice. My new rat's name is Sir Pellinore (After one of the knights of the round table) and hopefully I will be getting him a companion in the next couple of days. if anyone could give me tips on toys and treats and other stuff like that it would be greatly appreciated!

As for toys, all you basically have to do is evaluate eveything you may throw away. Toilet paper tubes can be made into little treat tubes, a wad of paper can be a treat ball(just ball up a treat inside it). Rats don't need expensive, fancy toys to keep them busy and interested.
