Read a lot of the info posted, still confused, I know the importance of a neutral space,,,and the quarantine period, then the little steps, sharing the same space, cages near, my question is,,,,do you intro the new boys to the resident, or the resident to the new boys,,,,I think the oldest( resident) is about 1 yr. old,,,the new boys about 7 month and 5 month, older one very social,,new boys still getting used to their new home(seem very close to each other),,,do I wait, or jump in, and start intros? When I introduced 1 rat to 1 rat, I grabbed one in one hand and one in the other hand, and put them in the neutral zone together. If I was introducing more than I could carry in one trip, I would put the new in place first and add the others after. I usually started right away.
