Welcome. Lots of people here with great information and support. Love the little playground you set up on the outside of the cage. Fun!

Thank you! For the most part I leave the cage open and they free roam in their area. Persephone is my explorer rat. She's the reason my storage space was converted to a playground.

So adorable. They look really small. How old are they?
I'm really not sure. I got them from the Petco I work at. Persephone and Echo both weigh about 180 grams, though Persephone was labeled as a "small" rat and Echo a "medium" rat.

Welcome and hope you have a wonderful time with your girls. I've only ever had males. I've heard they are more affectionate generally but rats can vary from rat to rat so much I've noticed who is to really say. Girls are definitely less smelly though from what I have read and a lot more agile. Maybe I'll give the girls a go one day:)
