Thank you! For the most part I leave the cage open and they free roam in their area. Persephone is my explorer rat. She's the reason my storage space was converted to a playground.

I'm really not sure. I got them from the Petco I work at. Persephone and Echo both weigh about 180 grams, though Persephone was labeled as a "small" rat and Echo a "medium" rat.

I've heard they are more affectionate generally but rats can vary from rat to rat so much I've noticed who is to really say. Girls are definitely less smelly though from what I have read and a lot more agile. Maybe I'll give the girls a go one day
