I just got my 2 guys (Cheech and Chong?) on Thursday. The skinnier boy who we think was picked on has what looks to be a scab underneath his anus. I'm wondering if maybe it was from where he was picked on, or if there's something else going on. I check on it multiple times a day, and it hasn't gotten any worse, nor does it seem to be bothering him.

He had a bit of diarrhea when we first brought him home, but given that his poop was formed in the carrier on the way home, and also the following morning (and also continues to be), I believe that it was stress that caused the diarrhea.

Should I put some neosporin on it to help it heal and make sure there is no infection? Or do I need to take my little guy to the vet and get it checked out? There are no obvious signs of infection from the outside, and he eats and drinks fine and also has a good energy level, so I don't think that theres an internal infection either. Any ideas?

i think what you're doing is just fine. continue to keep an eye on it and if it worsens or he starts to react differently towards then get a vet to look at it but otherwise i'd just let it be and let nature heal it. though if you want neosporin couldn't hurt. being a closed, scabbed over wound, i'm not sure if it will help any either though. but for your own peice of mind you could try it. just make sure you rub it in really well as most of it will be licked off during cleaning.
