So i've had my pet rats for about 6 months. i bought them when i moved away to college but now i've moved again and my new place won't let me keep my pet rats. I've tried calling pet stores, i've tried criagslist and i've asked everyone i know, and no animal shelter takes rats in Miami.

i don't know what to do because i can't keep there for very longer, any advice

I found a list of ratteries in Florida when I just typed in "Florida rattery"... here it is:

I know that a lot of breeders in Illinois take in rescues- so you can always ask around. If they don't, they will probably give you a place where you can take them.

You can also call the local Humane Societys... I know that some of them will take in rats. Hope I was able to help a little!

The Wildlife Care Center
in Broward County takes in rats & they have a very strict policy for placement so you can be assured they will go to a great home who truly wants tham & who can commit to providing them a forever home.

Also the Palm Beach County animal control takes in rats. I have rescued from there before.

Since there are options available... good options with the Wildlife Rescue, I hesitate with offering myself as a possible placement. My colony is maxed out at the moment. Please contact me via private message & I would be happy to get some info & post on some sites I know that help with adoptions.
