Noticed lots of the pretty DCN cages have been decorated with cool and colorful plastic chains. Where are these from, and do rats like them? Do they chew them, rattle them, what?

I don't know what they do, but they're plastic C Clips which are sold as bird/small mammal toys. Some people also use plastic baby chains. Just google 'Rat Plastic C Clip' and you'll find them.

We had them for our daughter when she was a baby. I'm sure you can find them in the baby section somewhere.
We don't use them for our rats but I have seen them a lot in cage tours.
