The fur on my rat's back is light red. Is this because of poryphorin?I'm not quite sure what that is. Do I need to take her to a vet? I gave her a bath yesterday and it's already back. There is a little by her eyes as well. Thank you in advance.

Polyphorin is red, it is often an indicator that a rat is sick; both sinus draining (mucous) and their saliva is tinted. Light reddish color on top of the fur is most likely from grooming. Polyphorin around the eyes, wrists and nose means it is possibly a respiratory infection
