Hello, I was just wondering, I'm thinking about getting my male, if not more than one male rat fixed, and i really am not sure, any one that has had this done, does it cost much, i mean im willing to spend a little bit of money on my rats, but if it means it would cost 45 bucks, i would rather just buy them diffrent cages ... if any one can give me a price range i would be delighted ... also any kind of things i might want to have checked out from a pet store bought rat

anywhere from $80-$150 dollars, I'd say. Depending on how established the vet is, and if there are any other exotics vets in the area.

Uh, you're not willing to spend more than $45 on a simple, common and very beneficial surgery but will shell out enough money for a different cage? Sounds like you need to get your priorities straight and get the neuter. Not only can it cure aggression it can prevent certain tumors. Totally worth it, and it does mean your boys can be friends.
