Okay, Can a rat be potty trained at any age? When I first got Jay and Bob I tried to potty train them, but all they seemed to want to do is eat the little corner box rather than poop and pee in it. However, when I clean their cage nowadays, they seem to poop and pee more in the corner where the box use to be. I’m not sure if I should give it another try LOL! Oh yeah, Jay and Bob are only about a year old just to let you all know :)

If they're useing mostly one corner to poo, you can try a corner ferret litter pan in there with different litter than you use as bedding. You can put a few droppings in the box, and they will learn what its for quick. Just remember they will probably still pee on the cage floor, so don't take out all the litter/bedding (the pee will stain the cage if there's no bedding ;) ).
