i got two baby girls from a rattery about 15 days ago and they were about 6 weeks old. recently one is becoming a lotttt bigger than my other girl. They werent housed with male rats but im not sure if they were close by or if any accidents occurred, but to me it looks and seems like shes pregnant.Shes very pear shaped and eats/hoards a lot. Shes shyer than my other female and doesnt like being handled as much. Please lmk what you guys think!!

Yeesh. It really doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the breeder...

There's lots of info in the "accidental litters" section of the forum. The Isamu Rat Care youtube channel has a bunch of good videos on caring for a mother and her babies in the "breeding rats" playlist.

Realistically, this whole scenario should be the breeder's responsibility. They should take care of this in anyway that you want. If you want to surrender the mother for a different female or if you want the breeder to just take care of her and her babies, they should take care of that. If you want to experience the baby stuff, that should also be an option. The breeder should take responsibility for the babies after they've been fully weened from their mom. You're kinda in control of how you want this to happen.

Hi emmkayl.
Obviously, as CorbinDallasMyMan said, it will be your decision about whether you would like to keep her and the babies or not, but if you do decide to go along for the ride and have rat babies, these links might also be helpful to you. All the best... please keep us updated!
