Hi, I want to give my little babies a fun digging box and I have some questions about it.
1) How much coconut fibre should I have. Is 8l (270 ounches) enough or should I get more?
2)How long does the box last before I have to change it?
3)Is it better to put it in their cage or use it during free range?
4)Do I want to have a deep box or a wide box and generally how big should the box be?

1) I'm not sure about the ounces of coconut fiber I never really checked but if you can give 6in or more of the substrate and still have 6in of space from the substrate to the top of the box you should be good.
2) If you spot clean every two days it can last up to a month but no longer
3) It is up to you. I had it in both and they loved that.
4) My rats prefer deeper and I find that 15in x 10in x 15in works for me.
(sry I live in the US so you might have to convert inches to centimeters.)
Hope this helped

Hey, another question: how moist should the fibre be? I put mine in water 24h ago and it is still wet. Is it ready or should it be dry??
