My rats cage is over my radiator (i have a sideboard/shelf thing and then the radiator is underneath it). They aren't directly over the top of the radiator, there's about a 4 inch gap from the edge to their cage.
I've read on numerous sites that it's okay to put the cage near a radiator as long as there's some water around to keep moisture in the air, I have some pot like things that hang off my radiator that are filled with water.

I was just wondering if this was okay and will it do them any harm...?

My room is quite small so I haven't really got anywhere else to keep them unless I put them in another room, which I don't want to do. My room is also quite cold in winter so them being just over the radiator may keep them that bit warmer.

Any thoughts or input would be great :)

I'd perhaps get a small thermometer to keep near the cage. I do this with my boys and if it gets above 80 I turn it down. *shrug*

Thanks for the help by the way forensic, I may get a themometer :)
