Hello! We just recently adopted three little girls! They are 6 weeks old. I’ve done a lot of research and I’ve finally made my own feeding schedule. Is this a good feeding schedule for my girls? Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Everyday: Oxbow Young Rat Pellets
Sun, Tues, Thurs: Veggies and grains
Mon, Fri: Protein and grains and fat
Wed, Sat: Fruit and grains

That sounds fine as long as the portion size of the supplemental stuff isn't too large. Unless you know a lot about nutrition and how to balance everything, it would be a good idea to make sure the commercial rat block remains the primary source of their diet.

Rats eat in the range of 15 to 25 grams of food per day, each. If you want the Oxbow to be the primary component of their diet, you'd probably want to stick with a 70/30 to 80/20 mix of Oxbow and supplemental stuff.
