I wouldn't switch to it either way Almi it's probably pretty crappy like most of the commercial rat foods. I'd check out the diet sticky at the top of the Rat Health area for better options.

be sure to investigate the options out there for proper foods because I don't believe this product was a good choice even without the alert of a recall

Probably not. I don't use it, haven't even heard of it. But figured I'd pass it along anyway.

Yeah no one should have been feeding their rat this in the first place. A general rule is if the food is for multiple kinds of animals, then it probably isn't good for any of them.
