I've recently decide to get rid of the bedding a switch to fleece. I have a rat manor cage from petco its four storys, and I'm look for some advice on how to set up the bedding pan on the bottom with fleece any pointers and tips are appreciated.

I got a stiff but flexible piece of plastic a tiny bit smaller than the bottom of the cage. I made several fleece 'pillowcases' that I can slip over the plastic. To keep the rats from burrowing inside, make open end long enough to fold beneath, so the rats can't burrow under the fleece. I like to put a puppy pad inside the 'pillowcase,' to keep it dry and smelling clean longer.

Your rats really should still have bedding to dig in. You can put fleece on the ramps and floors, but the bottom should have some kind of substrate like wood shavings, etc. The cage is going to stink if you don't have any absorbent bedding in it at all.
